Intencionalidad y filosofía analítica: Brentano (y la fenomenología) vs Chisholm

El artículo se centra en el concepto de intencionalidad y consta de cuatro partes. En la primera se analizan los dos períodos de la teoría de la intencionalidad de Brentano: uno psicológico-descriptivo, centrado en la comprensión de la intencionalidad en términos de fenómenos mentales, y otro ontológico dirigido al estudio del estatuto del objeto de la intencionalidad. La segunda parte funciona como una introducción a la teoría de la intencionalidad de Chisholm: primero, con relación al contexto intelectual general en la filosofía analítica de la época y, segundo, con respecto a la influencia decisiva de dos pensadores: Russell y Carnap. En la tercera parte se expone la teoría lógico-lingüística de la intencionalidad de Chisholm, entendida a partir del concepto de actitud proposicional y de criterios semánticos para definir la intensionalidad (con s). Por último, se presentarán algunos de los múltiples problemas que surgen con dicha versión de la intencionalidad, en particular la identificación errónea y puramente homofónica entre intencionalidad (con c) e intensionalidad (con s).
