About the Journal

FRAGMENTOS DEL PASADO-DO PASSADO is a scientific journal committed to Social Sciences and Humanities, edited by the Fundación de Historia Natural Félix de Azara. Its contents are published in electronic format through the open access portal plarci.org, free and open, and printed in paper format. This journal is open to national and foreign contributions, both from advanced students and professionals, that are original and unpublished, written in Spanish, Portuguese or English. The main objective is the communication and scientific exchange of Anthropology, Archaeology, Heritage, Museums, History of Anthropological Sciences and Archaeological Collections.

FRAGMENTOS DEL PASADO-DO PASSADO has a semi-annual periodicity, with two printed numbers per year. The published contents can be with peer referee (Articles, Brief Articles and Reports of Sites and Collections) or without peer referee (Dialogues, Reviews and Debates or Translations). All contributions must follow the guidelines stipulated in the Guidelines for Authorship and in the Code of Ethics and Good Practices. Manuscripts are received through the portal of the magazine FRAGMENTOS DEL PASADO-DO PASSADO, by registering with a username and password. The call is permanent, the works can be sent throughout the year. Notwithstanding the foregoing, periodically the Editorial Committee will decide on a closing date for the selection of each number. The works received after this date are automatically considered for the next number. According to the section, the contributions received by the journal will be evaluated by a double-blind external peer system. In case of disparity between the reviewers, it will go to a third reviewer.

FRAGMENTOS DEL PASADO-DO PASSADO adheres to the definitions proposed by the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), and upholds the importance of Free and Open Access, considering that "it gives readers extraordinary power to find and make use of relevant literature, and that it gives authors and their works vast and measurable new visibility, readership, and impact” (https://www.budapestopenaccessinitiative.org/read/).

In this sense, the movement of open access to knowledge as a common good is promoted. The magazine provides immediate, complete and un-embargoed access to all of its content and previously published issues free of charge. Offering society the possibility of access to scientific production contributes to the dissemination of knowledge and knowledge that enrich present and future societies.

FRAGMENTOS DEL PASADO-DO PASSADO is registered under a Creative Commons 4.0 International License Creative Commons 4.0 International Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (CC BY-NC-SA) License. This implies that commercial use of the original work or possible derivative works is not allowed, the distribution of which must be done with a license equal to that which regulates the original work.

APC Policy (Contribution Processing Charge) 
FRAGMENTOS DEL PASADO-DO PASSADO does not make any charge to the authorship related to the submission, evaluation and publication of contributions or the transfer of the Open Access license.
