By unveiling the (in) visible threads
Keywords:
humorous cartoon-caricature, written press, written textAbstract
In this presentation, anchored in the sciences of communication and information, in semiology and discourse analysis, we propose to examine the question of the relationships and tensions which crisscross between an image and its text. writing. In order to carry out our task, we draw on the study of a humorous cartoon that appeared in the written press. It is studied as a device, inserted at the heart of configurations of meaning that reveal the visible threads (or not visible to a daily observer) existing between word and image. Certain theoretical notions will nourish this analysis.
