Abstract

On September 8, 2023, we conducted an interview with Lic. Nora Flegenheimer at the Área de Arqueología y Antropología, Museo Histórico Regional (Necochea, Buenos Aires province). Our aim was to assess her career as an archaeologist in connection with the development of two traditionally masculinized lines of study: Early American peopling and lithic studies. Based on her biographical memory, we seek to delve deeper into the processes related to the production of knowledge. We also seek to relate her experience with patriarchal dimensions of the academy, as well as to make visible Nora F´s contributions regarding the topic of the settlement of the Pampean region and the ways in which we understand hunter-gatherer groups.
